Cambyses, and his external campaigns

After settling in Egypt, Cambyses planned three campaigns: the first to Carthage, the second to Nebata, and the third

To the Oasis of Siwa, Headquarter, and the Valley of Amon

First campaign on Carthage “Tunisia Phoenician”:-

At the same time, they had a marine fleet in blue-blue standing without work.

So King Cambyses sent his commander to order him to prepare a whole band equipped with equipment, equipment, and sea men to sail to Carthage,

But that was frustrating, because the best of them were the Phoenicians They fought against their cousins and brothers who refused this, which shows that the Persian Empire was in its force,

But there were also some weaknesses, like the dependence on the Phoenician sailors who were stronger sailors at the time.

This was the first offshore Cambyses project, and of course it failed.

The second campaign on Nebata:-

Cambyses thought of including a plant to aspire to the Nuba gold and open a road to Sudan.

But before he did the campaign, he sent spies to Al-Habasha on the pretext that he carried them gifts.

He summoned a group of Phoenicians who knew the language of Al-Habasha and carried them gifts.

It was a dress of purple, gold, bracelets, and a vessel of Al-Rakhashan And there is no friendship between us, which caused the king of the horse to send you these gifts, and you say not unto me the truth:

But you come to prove the strength of my kingdom, and your master is not a just man, because he covets a land not of his own, and tries to enslave a nation that hath not harmed him.

” And the king of Al-Habasha gave them a bow from him, and carried this message to the Persian king, which is, namely,

“The king of Al-Habasha That they should have such a great bow as it is so easy for me, and for whom should I thank the gods,

If they do not inspire Al-Habasha to expand their country with new conquests and give them the bow. And he asked them afterward what the purple was, and how it was made.

And when they had told him, he said, These men are deceived, until he removed their garments, and then he asked them about the golden bracelets and the rings, and they answered him,

They laughed, and thought they were chains; and he answered them, The beasts have power over them, and he asked them about the perfumes that they brought them, and how they used them.

Full of spices and barrels of wine of dates. Gifts were given in the name of King Cambez to the king of Ethiopia.

From the wonders of Al-Habasha.

The apostles were astonished at the length of life among Al-Habasha people, and the king took them into one of their characteristics, that they which washed in them should come out of them with a pleasant smell, as with the smell of purple, and their skin was shining as if they had been anointed with oil.

The apostles said that the eye of that water was so light that nothing but wood could float on it.

After that, he walked them to prison, and they found the prisoners bound with golden shackles, because the copper at Al-Habasha was of rare metals and most precious.

And then I see them, what's called the Sun Table, which is a tower full of all four-legged meat, and the rulers come in at night,

And at the end of the day, every man is free to come and eat his food, and the people of the country say that the Earth comes out of itself, this meat.

Advance on plants

When the mission arrived in Cambyses, they informed him of all the wonders they saw in Al-Habasha,

and described him as tall as they were, and that their king was the most powerful man.

This information angered Cambyses and made him order his troops to go to Al-Habasha, because of Cambyses's greed for the gold of this area,

And also the pride and greatness that the king of Al-Habasha, It took him 52 days to go to the capital of Al-Habasha, and Cambyses preferred to travel this distance in the right line by desert,

And he went all the way down the river, and with great difficulty, he was able to reach the Fifth Waterfall.

At that time, his supplies were close to being finished, so the soldiers had to eat the grass and then ate each other, so Cambyses collapsed into this failed campaign.

Third Campaign in Siwa Oasis:-

He went to Al-Habashawith the rest of the army. Indeed, the soldiers headed to the Amon Oasis with the evidence.

They certainly arrived there, but no one knows what happened to them after that, and from the investigator,

These soldiers did not arrive in Egypt and the people of Siwa say that these soldiers did not arrive in Egypt A very strong wind appeared upon them, which dipped them in mountains of sand, and hid them all; and so the soldiers of Cambeez perished.

Cambyses  revenge for the utter failure of his three campaigns:-

When Cambyses  returned to Al-Habasha, he found the Egyptians celebrating the emergence of new nightmares for them.

When he saw these celebrations, he thought they were happy with the speedy discovery of the weapons in his three campaigns, and he called the governors of Manaf,

And asked them why they were happy. They said that their God had not appeared for a long time, and the Egyptians were happy.

That was great He called the priests to ask them the same question, and they answered him with the same answer.

And he commanded them to bring him nightmares to watch, and they brought him: for of the characteristics of this Apis,

And they've already brought it, It's a little calf whose mother can't get pregnant with anyone else.

And the Egyptians say, it's got lightning from the sky and it's got it .

He's known for some signs and his hair is black, And on his forehead is a triangular spot, And on the back of an eagle, under his tongue is a picture of a calf, And he has double guilty hair.

He took his arrows to the belly of the Apis, but he struck him in the thigh.

Then he turned to the priests, and he accused the priests, saying, “Are the gods flesh and blood, and do you feel the injury of weapons?”

And then he ordered the priests to be beaten with sticks,And to arrest all the Egyptians who are in a state of joy on the new Apis,

So the joys were nullified and the priests were punished, but Apis became ill for a while in his temple because of the wound in his thigh and then died and the priests buried him without the knowledge of The Cambyses .
