Ibn Al-Jazzar..Good Doctor

Ibn Al-Jazzar is one of the most famous Muslim philosophers and doctors in the fourth century Al-Hijri.

He was the man of the scientific and popular standing in the Maghreb at all in that ancient time.

Ratio and education.

The son of Al-Jazzar is Abu Jaafar Ahmed bin Ibrahim bin Abi Khalid Al-Qayrawani, born in Kairouan, who does not know the exact date of his birth, and died in it about a year (400H/1010).

[1] It was said: He died dead in Andalusia.

[2] The golden man said of him in the Biography of the Nobility: "Ibn al-Jazzar: The brilliant philosopher, the master of medicine... Call the Obaidi (Fatimid) State, and his money and wealth are abundant,"

[3] The son of Al-Jazzar was a student of his father and uncle, and they were good doctors. He was also a student of a famous doctor in his era, Yitzhak Ben Solomon of Israel.

[4] He left Egypt and went to Kairouan, where his medical and scientific status was high.

Strange accident !

One of the great incidents that took place with the Butcher's son, which almost took his life early in his medical career, was what Al-Maqrizi said about Al-Mansour, the Prince of Tunisia, suffering from a severe cold and snowfall.

He wanted to go to the bathroom on his way back, but his doctor, Yitzhak Ben Suleiman, the Israeli butcher's son, disagreed So he decided to go into the bathroom;

The instinctive heat of Al-Mansour was consumed, and he had to stay up late. His doctor treated the disease without staying up late.

This intensified in Al-Mansour.

He said to some of his characteristics: In Kairouan is a doctor other than Isaac? A young man from the doctors came to him and said: Abu Jaafar Ahmed Bin Ibrahim Bin Abi Khalid Bin Al-Jazzar collected narcotic items for him, and he charged him with smelling them.

He went out and was pleased with what he did. Ishaq came to enter Al-Mansour. He's sleeping.

He said: If he hath done something to sleep at, he is dead. They entered upon him, and when he was dead, he was buried in his palace.

They wanted to kill the son of the butcher who made the menagerie for him, and Isaac came up with him, and he said: He is not guilty.

His cure is according to the doctors, but he is unaware of the origin of the disease and what you knew; In treating it, I mean strengthening the instinctive heat, and with that sleep is, and when I was treated with what it was turning off, I knew he was dead."

[5] This incident was certainly an experiment.

Ibn Al-Jazzar Al-Qayrawani has a variety of books and workbooks.

In every field of knowledge, he has a book of good effect, of abundant benefit. "He has a book called "The Traveler Has Increased in Treatment of Diseases", a book on Single Medicines, a book on Synthetic Medicines known as "The Tobacco", a book called "Acne", a book that is lengthy in medicine, "The Soul's Letter" and "The Soul's Statement", "The Book of Poor's Medicine" Al-Mahdi in Morocco"[7].

The most famous book written by Ibn Al-Jazzar, "Zad Al-Mosafer", has been an important reference book for researchers and medical science students for decades.

This book consists of two parts, containing seven articles, which deal with liver diseases, kidney diseases, skin diseases, diet, diseases, poisons, and poisons; In this book, he talked a lot about the installation of a number of medicines and how they are used [8].

It is worth mentioning that the book "Zad Al-Mosafer" is still written, and it is in two volumes.

There are copies in the People's Library in Paris, Dresden, Germany, Renbour, India, Havana, the Netherlands, and in Morocco:

The closet of the ligament is numbered 1718 d. This book is translated into Latin, Greek, and Italian, and from these translations are manuscripts that I present at the Vatican [9].

The book Zad Al Mosafer was written as a medical guide for travelers to distant countries without a doctor, and then found that it was not suitable for poor and poor people, who may not be aware of the benefits of their poverty and lack of physical energy to buy treatment, and was categorized as Medicine for Poor and Poor; He then wrote another book, "Medicine and Health Protection," in which he dealt with the conditions of the elderly and the elderly.

The book was written by Doctor Al-Shuyoukh.

The human side of its refineries,

Although these works are purely scientific, the human aspect of them seems clear and profound; Thinking about classifying a book is a guide to a traveler with a moral imperative that assesses a traveler's urgent need if he falls ill with a quick medical guide, if he suffers from illness or injury, or requires treatment until they arrive at the nearest house or find a doctor or hospital.

And then he's also interested in classifying the poor as a therapeutic guide, and with the little money they have, they can find the right medication for each case, keeping their health healthy and not costing them what they don't have.

It's a view that we need in our time, that doctors, the authors of medical encyclopedias, and also the pharmaceutical companies and the institutions.

He then moved on to form a model for the health of the elderly and the elderly. It was evidence of the deep sense of Islam and humanity enjoyed by the son of Kairouani.

The son of the butcher did not forget children and boys from his wonderful medical classifications.

He wrote his valuable book (The Boys' Policy and Management), which has long been an original and basic reference in the treatment of children's diseases.

The book "The Policy and Management of Boys" is composed of 22 chapters, which search for the affairs of newborns in the case of health and disease.

Al-Habib Al-Hillah achieved this goal and was published in Tunisia in 1399 A.H./1979. It contains information on:

1— the characteristics, food, and milk of the nurse.

2— The child, according to age, suffers from diseases; diarrhea, earthen humidity, and navel inflammation, and its protrusion, and so on.

3— Treatment of the palm in the head of the child, the tumor of the yavuhe and the swelling of the abdomen.

4— Other doors in epileptic disease of boys.

5— Pain when teeth come out.

6— And the oral ulcers of the children.

7— the causes of vomiting.

8— In snakes and worms in the intestines, in pebbles in the bladder, etc. [11].

One of the well-known works of the son of Al-Jazzar Al-Qayrawani, his book "Al-Taqad", which is categorized as "Al-Itisadam", is still written by, and there are still copies in Algeria,Turkey, and the British Museum.

He wrote it at the request of the kings of Al-Fatimid.
